A Quick Review To TONOR TC-777 USB Mic & Its Recording?

In today’s world, finding a product that is both great in quality, provides great features, and comes within the budget, is like finding a white cat in a snowstorm, very difficult and rare. TONOR TC-777 USB Mic is one such product. There is no lack of computer mics in the market today. People who are venturing into the video-making genre have the most need for such a product as speaking through the speakers of the computer does not give the best quality. However, if you are operating on a budget and need to find the best product which is also cost-friendly, well you have come to the right place.

If you don’t want to take our word for it, take a look at the product and its defining features in detail and decide for yourself by reading our review of this one in a million computer mic.

Who is not impressed with the first impression? We all value the first impression so much we spend hours getting ourselves ready to give the perfect first impression. The TONOR TC-777 USB mic understands the importance of visuals and first glance. The packaging of the mic is done beautifully by TONOR. The product’s box comes with the TONOR TC-777 USB Microphone, a tripod desk stand to make your work easier and more comfortable. The tripod desk has foldable feet and a mini shock to help adjust the mic as per convenience. Along with all of this, the TONOR microphone box brings with it, a USB power cord, a pop filter, a service card, and a manual for further help to the purchaser.

The USB power cord is 1.5 meters in length, the pop filter is 4 inches and the price is $34.99.

Moving to the design part, the size of the microphone, although small, is made to fit perfectly on your computer desk. For people of average height and build, it is the best size. The parts are easy to assemble and putting them together is not a difficult task even for a newbie if you go through the manual once. It comes with a foam cover, so in case you are using it outside, make sure to put the foam cover on. This will help eliminate the wind noises and make your voice seem clear.

The shock mount is one of the best features of the microphone in our opinion. It ceases any vibrations and helps you sound crisp and clear. The only case in which you can hear vibrations from this shock mount is when there is an earthquake.

Compatibility and Usability

How can you use the microphone? This is one of the first questions that must pop in your head while looking at its specifications. The product can be used for almost all individual purposes you require. Zoom calls, podcasting, gaming, streaming, recording, online conference hosting, and everything else that comes into your mind.

Coming over to the compatibility part, the product is compatible with PS4, PC, and laptop. The USB microphone is also compatible with Linux, Microsoft, and Mac OS. Basically with all the major operating systems.

Recording With The Mic

To test the authenticity and working of the mic, we decided to test it by using it on our computer. The part that holds the mic moves 180 degrees making it movement-friendly, the foam cover helps reduce the breath of the speaker and other background noises. The microphone is user-friendly as we needed to only plug in the USB cord for using it. As the USB cord is plugged in, the microphone can be used for any application that accepts the microphone input.

The TONOR TC-777 is a side-address microphone, we forgot and tried speaking on the upper side and were confused for a good ten minutes as to why the volume was so low. Later, we realized that the condenser is located in the sides, so speaking on the top is not a very good practice. As we turned the microphone around, we found that at the back of the microphone, the sound was dampened, and so it was while talking into the top of the microphone while the sound pickup was fine in the front and side of the microphone resulting in a crisp and clear voice.

While keeping the microphone almost 6 to 18 inches away from our face, we found that the tone was still crystal clear and the pickup was still great. While the microphone was connected to a membrane keyboard, the keyboard noises were satisfactory but somewhat low, while using a mechanical keyboard, we found that the sound was ricocheting and very ASMRy.

The raw audio recorded from the microphone is clear and easy to manipulate post-recording. This makes it easy to tweak, edit and get the best out of the audio for all those people who need to edit the recorded audio.

Final Thoughts

We would like to end the review by mentioning that the cardioid pickup from the microphone is easily one of the best in its category. The value for money is unbelievable and the TONOR TC-777 USB Mic is simply one of the best if you are a starting out gamer, streamer or just want a microphone for personal use on a budget. To sum up, the mic is on budget, easy to use, and available on Amazon, what else do you want? To purchase the mic, go here.
